Diamond Jubilee Celebrations for Kemble, Ewen and Kemble Wick

 

Programme of Events Sunday June 3rd 2012  Come RAIN or SHINE

All Saints church Kemble from 10.30am Bellringers will call you to church for -


11am Service of thanksgiving for the reign of Queen Elizabeth 11 ( sherry toast courtesy of The Tavern)

(Info only West Hay Grove will be holding its annual RESIDENTS barbecue on this day)

 

Venue 'The TAVERN' KEMBLE    (please consider wearing something red/white/ blue)

 

12.30pm onwards …........... bring your own picnic/folding chairs/opportunity to purchase barbecue food which will continue up to 8pm!

 

2pm onwards........Large TV Screen – River Thames Diamond Jubilee Flotilla of up to 1000 boats.

Battersea Bridge to Tower Bridge

Children's Games and activities, singing for fun for adults and children with Jo Sercombe

Jubilee raffles – flowers/hamper


4pm........................Afternoon teas homemade cake/squash etc

Cutting of the Royal Celebratory Cake (kindly made by Kelsie Hall) by Christian and Mary-Rose Brann who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in June

 

5pm.........................Reading of the Loyal Greetings to her majesty from the people of Kemble and Ewen/reply

 

Judging of' 'Children's Decorated Crown' competition.

Judging of 'Themed (1952-2012) dressed Scarecrows'.  (Judges Rev. Paul and Mrs Jenny Youde)

 

5.30pm approx......Distributing Queen's Diamond Jubilee mugs to Kemble and Ewen children up to

16years of age by 'Lady She'. (Any surplus will be sold on a first come first served basis)


6pm onwards..................Put on your dancing shoes or just sit and listen and enjoy the JJ Swingband (dancing on the patio)

Time for chit -chat/ nightcaps from the bar

9.45pm approx Lighting of the Kemble and Ewen Queen's Diamond Jubilee Beacon- kindly supplied by Mr Colin Rank Kemble Farms

 

It would be appreciated that ALL drinks are purchased from The Tavern who will provide 'low cost' soft drinks for the children all day. Teas and coffees/ice cream cones/lollies.
